Name each one before it comes into focus.
Sooner means more points.

How to play

  1. Each day, five prints from five different categories hang on the line: animals, everyday things, food, flags, logos, places or Pokémon, drawn fresh every day.
  2. Every print develops in steps until it's clear: photos start through the camera right away, paintings and flags open on just their colors, maps zoom out. The marks on the timer show when the next step comes.
  3. Type what you think it is and press Enter. Typos are fine; we'll ask "did you mean".
  4. Guess as often as you like. Wrong guesses and names we don't know are free.
  5. Name it sooner for more points, up to 1,000 a print; the points you'd get right now show above the guess box. Press Next hint (or Shift+Enter) to jump to the next step whenever you're tired of waiting.
  6. When the clock runs out you get ten more seconds with the photo fully developed.
  7. Want more after the five? Play unlimited: sets of five from any categories and difficulties, art included, as many as you like.

Photos of animals, things, food and places develop through a camera finding its subject; art, flags, logos and Pokémon are painted in splats, coarse to fine; countries are a map. Camera: Canon EOS 40D back by Charles Lanteigne, CC BY-SA 3.0, cut out.

To see how hard each picture is, we record each print's result anonymously, with your rough location (country and region). No account, and your IP address isn't stored.
